Liberals should be demanding Obama stop the War(s)!

It seems that the Liberals everywhere have forgotten their origin, and given into hysteria. Do they forget that Liberals have classically been Anti-War, and even Anti-Establishment?  Do they forget the days of getting in a group to sing “Give Peace a Chance,” and holding “anti-war” rallies all over?  Have we weakened? Has the idea of doing the right thing being integral to being a True Liberal been lost?

As I look around at the Liberals, both in my own Party, and outside I see a disturbing trend.  One that makes me wonder where all the Real Liberals are, and why they salivate over Obama like he is a personal “Enlightened One.”  People will be telling me to give Obama a chance, as I have been told to my face, and say I am not giving him time.  I disagree, Obama made promises to change American Politics, and so far I am seeing more of the same.  Has he given any details about getting out of Iraq, and does he have a plan to leave Afghanistan?  The answer to both of these is a resounding no!

He has not given any details about the War, which was started based on all lies.  Nor has he addressed the Afghan War, which too was started based on lies.   Both wars are Resource Wars, and this so-called “War on Terrorism” is bullshit! This might be a controversial statement, but, sometimes the most controversial thing to do is tell the truth. In terms of Foreign Policy I see no difference between Obama, and Bush.

They both would go to War if needed as part of the “war on terrorism,” which I have already explained is a farce for Resources worldwide, and American Imperialism. In actuality he has spoken publicly about Iran, defending Israel intensely if needed, and Pakistan.  This is more of the same imperialistic sounding rhetoric as the stuff Bush had used, and he never once mentioned going into Saudia Arabia where the “terrorists” from 9/11 were from.  Interestingly, this is also pretty much all used up in terms of Arabian Oil Reserves.  Now, is that not slightly more than just ironic or what?

Some will say I am not really a Liberal person, and I am questioning the latest Liberal Savior, so, they are all hyped over him.  That does not mean we should not question the motives of those in his administration, and DEMAND AMERICA OUT OF IRAQ/AFGHANISTAN NOW!

It is very possible Obama knows nothing about the Oil Factor in Afghanistan, and the War On Terrorism.  More than likely, the people who were responsible for 9-11 being abused to go to war, and the few who were in on the Inside Job are gone out of the White House.  The problem than becomes that the Democrats bought the Terrorism war made up by the Bush.  Since they believe in this, they will use their resources to fight a phantom war that should not exist.  I believe this was probably all part of plan of those responsible for 911.   It would be no good if it only lasted with a Bush White House, and they would need to convince the Democrats to be part of these wars too.   IT IS TIME TO SPEAK UP, AND SPEAK OUT…. DEMAND OBAMA BRING HIS TROOPS HOME NOW!  EVEN JUST OUT OF MORAL AND ETHICAL ISSUES WITH WARS IN GENERAL!

The “Real” 9-11 Truth… 9-11 Truth from a Non-Wing-Nut view point!

I got a question for you readers,  and here it goes.    What does Climate Change/Global Warming, the Recent Wars, Peak Oil, Overpopulation, and the SPP all have in common?  The answer is, are you ready for this, 9-11!  OK, now let me explain myself in this article, and all will become clear.

You see we are at a point where we have reached Peak Oil, and thus in turn Peak everything related to Fossil Fuels. This includes of course our food, which is processed by  plants ran by Oil. Does anyone actually think the rise in food prices is just because of the recession alone? Well, maybe, but, also maybe not too.  The thing with Peak Oil is that all of the Industrial World uses Fossil Fuels, and Fossil Fuel bi products.  So, if we have peaked, and I will show you the graph to prove it in this article, than we are in serious trouble. Now, the problem also comes from the fact Big Business, and that includes what has been come to be called “Military Industrial Complex” relies on Oil.  If the biggest energy providing force is still Fossil Fuels, and we have peaked than the world is headed towards disaster.  The people who hid the foreknowledge of 9-11 knew about Peak Oil, and they also knew they needed to cover it up. However, Peak Oil is only one part of the problem, but, it leads to Global Warming, and that leads to how 9-11 helped the SPP become a reality.  Now, I will provide evidence for all this as the article continues.

His prediction in 1956 that U.S.oil production would peak in about 1970 and decline thereafter was scoffed at then but his analysis has since proved to be remarkably accurate. Peak Oil and
Climate Change

The most important question facing humanity is how we will use the remaining oil. We have burned about half of it, but the second half of the oil age will be much shorter – and probably much more violent as countries fight to control what is left. If we are smart, we will use the rest of the oil to make solar panels instead of battleships, and re-localize food production instead of creating more global sweatshops.

The trillion dollars spent to destroy Iraq could have financed an excellent high speed train network to connect our cities together.

In 2007, we are near or at the global Peak of oil production (extraction). Most efforts to mitigate the shortage involve technologies that worsen pollution that is destabilizing the climate. Turning mountains of coal into gasoline might ease the pressure (slightly) on oil demand for a few years, but the cost for the atmosphere could be catastrophic.

We are not “addicted” to oil — the modern world is completely dependent upon it for our industrial agriculture systems, our transportation networks, and the global economy. Addictions are things you can give up — but oil runs our civilization.

How we use the remaining oil determines the future of the human race:

• do we “spend” it on solar panels or battleships?
• on re-localizing food production or further “globalization” of production?
• more superhighways or better trains and transit?
• more coal, oil and nuclear, or more renewable energy systems?
• for global permaculture solutions or global war to fight over the last oil reserves?

The environmental and peace movements are needed to help develop peaceful, permaculture responses to “Peak Everything” — the biggest problem ever faced by humanity. It takes oil to build renewable energy equipment, and nearly everyone (living above the level of subsistence agriculture) eats food that is grown and distributed with fossil fuels.

The global crises of the end of cheap oil and the start of climate change require global levels of solutions (re-localize everywhere). We are not merely at peak oil, we are at peak technology, peak money, peak communication. Real solutions would require us to redirect the energy, talents, resources, etc. of global capitalism, the military industrial complex, universities, media and other pillars of our society. This is a simple question that has a complicated answer – since these decisions were not made democratically. Understanding why civilization did not respond to the warnings of resource depletion decades ago is needed if a shift toward sanity is still possible at this late date.

Converting those resources to peaceful, permaculture uses would require removing the pretext for the “war that will not end in our lifetime” (as Cheney called it). Very few US citizens would have supported the war on Iraq if Bush had admitted the real reason: to control the planet’s remaining oil supplies as we approach Peak Oil. This peaceful conversion, in turn, requires discrediting the official claim that 9/11 was a surprise attack. Some claims of complicity are not correct, but there is a wealth of evidence proven beyond reasonable doubt, sourced to the mass media and official testimony, that fits a complicity paradigm much better than an “incompetence” paradigm.

9/11: the American Reich stag Fire for Global Oil Wars/Suppression of Climate Change/Global Warming?

There is many theories out there for 9/11, but, most of them give into crazy “Illuminati,” and “New World Order” theories thrown out by the Right wing.  There is, however, one that gets less attention, and is 9-11 Cover Up facts not theories.  Following everything I already documented in this article it is indeed I believe to hide Oil Wars.

9/11 was allowed to happen (and given technical assistance) to trigger Peak Oil Wars. Foreknowledge is proven beyond reasonable doubt. Specific warnings (what, when, where) came from Germany, France, Israel, Egypt, Russia and other allies. Several Air Force war games on 9/11 confused the air defenses or ensured fighter planes were too far away to stop the attacks. The CIA ran a “plane into building” drill near Dulles Airport, Virginia during 9/11. FBI probes of the flight schools were obstructed by senior management.

There are two different types of people who are defenders of 9-11 Truth.  Those that think it was MIHOP-Made It Happen On Purpose, and the other is LIHOP-Let It Happen On Purpose.  Where do I stand on this, we know why the Administration or at least the CIA did this, and we now know about Peak Oil.  So, where do I stand on the issue of how it happened?

I think the likeliest hypothesis is of an inside job that exploited a “genuine” terrorist plot. Sometime between the Bojinka Plot of 1995 and 9/11 itself, the original Islamist extremist dream of crash-bombing planes into American targets was steered to fruition by masterminds within the U.S. This is the logical way to leave a robust trail of evidence pointing to the patsies. The perfect plot would produce a patsy who sincerely believed he had done it himself and was proud of it – like Marinus van der Lubbe, the man executed for burning the Reichstag. The insiders took steps to guarantee that the 9/11 plot would succeed (why leave something so important in the hands of amateurs?), and helping the hijackers. One thing is for sure, and that is there was real planes, and, real Islamic Terrorists involved. There was none of this No Planes, and other crazy “Holograms” conspiracy theories taking place on 9/11.  In addition, there was none of this “Jews” or  “Zionist” involvement crap. 9-11 was a job by Islamic Patsies who thought they were really doing the work that their leader wanted, and got help from the inside.  This help could have come in many forms.. from the “Controlled Demolitions” idea, to the “Hijacking The Hijackers” which I will go into further detail about later in this article.

There are much disinformation that “muddies the waters” around 9/11 that make most Bush opponents reluctant to investigate evidence for complicity. The most important is the false claim that the Pentagon plane crash was faked which distract from best evidence, and discredits 9/11 skepticism inside the Beltway, both by the majority of the citizens (most voted against Bush) and the political and military elites (most were not part of 9/11).

9/11 as an excuse for Further Deep Economic Integration, and the SPP Agenda of the Bush Administration/Martin/Harper Governments?

There is also one other reason for 9/11 to be allowed to happen, and helped by the CIA/Bush Administration.  I need to introduce you to the “Security and Prosperity Partnership” of the Americas, and man it is a duzy!  This is a plan put forth by Bush in 2005, and started meetings with Harper/Fox.  SPP entails the engulfing of Canada, and it’s resources primarily for the U.S.A. . It would be a major extension of NAFTA, which we already have, and I am against as well.  I am against the Traded Deals we have because they give America the right to trash Canada for their own needs, and are not fair for Canadians at all.  If the SPP got put through it would ruin Canada, and would effect everything from Health Care to Fresh Water Resources!  It will be horrible, and unfortunately we have no idea whether Obama will continue this process or not.  If he does we better hope he rewrites the policies to be fairer, and if not Canada is screwed.   You can read about it at the website www.spp.gov.

Now, you might be wondering how did Bush/Harper/Fox push this through in secret, and not get burned?  Well, this is a plan for “Security,” and after 9-11 security plans get green lighted without much scrutiny. (Look at the “Patriot Act” Bush put in place, thanks to 9-11 as well.)  Of course, I am not going to go to the places that certain people go with the SPP, and I am not saying to be paranoid about a “New World Order.”  There is NO “New World Order” Conspiracy, and I can right an article debunking that as much as I am writing an affirming one for 9-11 truth.   My problem with the SPP is that it will Americanize Canada to the point of us being Canada in name only.  In truth, we might as well be becoming a 51st State, and Harper would love this as he is a USA nut.

However, this was all started by “The Liberal Party Of Canada,” under Paul Martin, and the Liberal Party are Conservatives in a Red Coat.   The “Liberal Party of Canada,” is about as Left, as my right ass-bone! Lib’s have been either wimps, or American worshipping complacent asses for decades.  The last good “Liberal Party” Prime Minister was Elliot Trudeau! His Government included Rick Hillyer, who would move on to start the “Canadian Action Party,” whom makes 9-11 part of its’ official Platform.

On that same score, The Conservative Prime Ministers have also been horrible for Canada for decades.  Canada has always been much more Liberal than America, and more I am not afraid to say Stateless Socialist in its form.  I do not mean the “lock-step” socialist type of form, but, instead the form of things like Good Welfare, and Universal Health Care.

We are a Country that tends to believe if there is a Government it is to HELP the people, and be involved to make the “greatest good for the largest number.” On the other hand,  Americans Governments have been horrible for ages, and under Conservative Rule for decades.  I believe that this Country is capable of continuing to be a Country where you can be free, and equal. A place where under the right legislation, and with the right people in places of power can return to the Canada we all grew up loving.  Stepehen Harper, and Michael I. are not these people, and are both just as bad in my opinion.  In fact, the mere nature that what I am talking about is considered controversial is a sign that we are effecting the wrong sorts of speech.  I should be able to State I think 9-11 was an Inside Job, and not have anyone cut me off, or kick me off the air of the Media in a free country.  This is more evidence that under Harper (Bush Jr.), and also the “Libs” with Michael I. this Country is not near as free as it used to be.  Be prepared if the SPP is not renegotiated or stopped altogether to have to say goodbye to Universal Health Care, and any other Universal things Canada is proud of… anything that makes Canada, Canada!

So, where does this lead us, and the rest of the Non-Nutcase investigators?

9-11 WAS AN INSIDE JOB!

Liberals need to stop putting up a wall to 9/11 Truth.

9-11 was lied about, and even the families think so.

There seems to be a very big wall up between those on the Left-Wing, and the “Real” 9/11 Truth.  I blame people like the fore mentioned Alex Jones, and their ilk for making 9/11 Truth into the area of Hard-Right and Patriot Movement wing nuts.  9/11 Truth was started by Liberals, and like-minded Conservatives in the victims families. You can see the history of this movement in the wonderful film “9/11 Press For Truth.”

In this film it details how 9/11 Truth is not about necessarily accusing any one person, or group, but, exposing there was cover-ups, and lies in the 9/11 Commission Report, and thus that Bush and/or his Administration knew of the upcoming 9/11 attacks.  It is also about the many anomalies in the Official Reports of how 9/11 happened, but, we cannot blame one or more groups totally as this is all assumption.

We can point to the reasons why they would want to do it, and the fact that it was an Inside Job, but, not jump to conclusions about where that leads.  We should not jump to conclusions it was for anything more than to go to two wars for Oil.  Similarly,  we should not push that necessarily there was a paymaster on the inside, but, I believe there was.  For we never know what it is we do not see, or cannot demonstrably prove.

I think the reason also that Liberals have, at least officially, stayed away from the 9/11 issue is that everyone calls it a “conspiracy.”  In truth 9/11 was not a Conspiracy, it was a Cover-Up, and there is a big difference.  Certain people, maybe even only very few, knowing the attacks are going to happen remaining in silence, and letting it happen is not a conspiracy.  What it is, is a few people knowing of an incident, and than helping to make sure it had the maximum effect on the people, and thus that their friends in the Bush Administration can have their wars.  In fact, Bush did not even need to know anything about it, and all he would need to do is trust the CIA.  The CIA would probably be the agency who let it happen, and made sure it had the maximum effect.

Here is where we get to a sticky subject, and one with which many people tackle.  Do we stop at the few CIA people, and someone inside PNAC using this by letting it happen from foreknowledge or go one step further?  Did the CIA not only let it happen, but, also make it happen through what has been termed “Controlled Demolition Theories?”   Plus, even more than that… if the CIA could pull off a Controlled Demolition of the WTC did they also fake the Pentagon, and Flight 93 parts of 9/11?  Many people take these ideas, and blow them way out of proportion! The type of exaggeration that than leads to “New World Order” bullshit links, and it grows more inane from there.

I am going to go over all the “not wing-nut” information about 9-11 out there, and the reason is I want represent as many views as possible. I will also include sites to the links where you can find out the information.  In addition, I do not plan on linking Anti-Semite Holocaust Deniers like “American Free Press,” even though they talk about 9/11 Truth.  Equally, I am also not going to link to “Painful Deceptions” as this too is a Anti-Jew Hate site.

Now, before I go any further I want to let my readers know I have been known to defend “Truthers,” a lot, but, only the ones who are not part of the Alex Jones/David Icke Satanic World Government BS movement.  I look at 9/11 from the perspective, and defend other from the perspective of “9-11 was Inside Job/Cover-Up investigate.”  If you than go on to accuse every group, every leader, and everyone you disagree with like Jones/Icke, and others in the Patriot Movement than I think you are paranoid, and need a wake up call.   Also, I totally dismiss any, and all Jew-Hating Anti-Semite, Homophobic rantings of extreme alternative media versions of 911, and who pulled it off.

However, I am going to warn you not to be surprised, and scream left-wing-nut-bar when I point out which areas I do agree with on 9-11 with investigations by alternative sources. I am very skeptical of the 9-11 docs out there, and I do NOT believe everything I see, and/or read about it.  However, what I do support as ideas on 911 that need investigation will surely be seen as nuts to some.  When I say I support them, it does not mean I think they could not be provable to be false if given enough information. Truth be told I will hold views consider controversial by some Wimpy Liberals, whom are afraid of having a different point of view on the 9-11 issue.

I need to let you know as well that I DO NOT believe 7/7 was an Inside Job, and I only find myself supporting an independent investigation of 9/11.  Equally, if a new independent investigation found the Official Actions on 911 being true, and only cover-ups of foreknowledge alone so be it!

With that being said, in the next post I will start my in depth essay/article on 9-11.. the information available, and my opinions.

Ghiz makes his pitch to Calgary business elite

For the second time in as many years, Premier Robert Ghiz is in Alberta trying to build new relationships and while selling his Island province as a great place to do business.
Ghiz made his pitch to Calgary’s business elite during an address to the Calgary Chamber of Commerce.
Ghiz is in Alberta with the other Atlantic provinces trying to enhance trade partnerships between the East Coast provinces and oil-rich Alberta.
“We welcome this opportunity to speak directly to Alberta’s business leaders and to profile what Atlantic Canada has to offer,”?Ghiz said during his address.
“During this period of economic uncertainty, it is tremendously important that inter-provincial trade is not only encouraged, but fostered through events such as this. Prince Edward Island currently has a strong trading relationship with Alberta. Our objective on this mission is to continue to support that relationship and to work with our Island businesses in promoting the products and services which they provide and identifying new partnership opportunities which are mutually beneficial to Alberta and Prince Edward Island.”
The P.E.I. premier is not alone on his Alberta trek. He’s being accompanied by nine P.E.I. businesses, most of whom already have contracts in Alberta.
Ghiz said the economic downturn that has hit Alberta’s oil industry has had an impact on his province.
He said he regularly runs into people who were easily making six figures in the oilsands last year, but are no longer sending their paycheques home.
“You’re definitely noticing it,” Ghiz is quoted as saying by CanWest News Service.
Ghiz and New Brunswick Premier Shawn Graham were scheduled to meet
with Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach late Tuesday, and watch the Alberta throne speech.

OK, once again Ghiz is more worried about the Elite in the West, and not worried about the Island.  He should be talking to local Business, and the regular everyday Joe.  No, instead he is talking to the “Elite,” and the Business Elite at that.  The very people who are ruining our Environment with their Oil Sands Bullshit, and also the people that control our News with their huge donations.  Ghiz, like other Liberals, and the Cons is out for himself, and to save face during this Economic downturn.  If he really wanted to help Business he would be trying to help the local Economy, and take care of the Province he is in charge of.  No though he is hauling off to the West, and looking to help them, and in turn help us.  Instead he could just help us directly, and leave the West out of this!

Obama= Road To Socialism? WTF!?

There is a lot I need to get off my chest at this time, and it is something that I need to say loud, and clear.

Barrack Obama has become President of the USA, and I have noticed a change in the Mainstream American Media whenever I browse the television. It looks like the American Media is showing it’s Conservative, and Moderate Bias once and for all, and it is not even apologetic. You heard these rumors of a Liberal Bias for years, and they now unapologetic-ally show the truth.

That truth is that the Mainstream American Media, is/and has always been Right-Wing, and or Center-Right-Wing leaning.  Mainstream stations are afraid of anything not Conservative, be it Center-Left, and or the true Left-Wing.  They will always associate a true Liberal with the dreaded word “Socialism,” and parade it around like a leper.

I might criticize Obama myself, but, I have made it clear it is because he is Center-Right on issues of National Security, and his full acceptance of Hawks into his Foreign Policy decision.  I have never criticized Obama on his Economical standpoint, and unless he starts to become Centrist Economically I won’t as long as he is in power. The truth is the Economy is one of Obama’s best attributes, second only to his adding Sexual Orientation to Extended Hate Crimes Legislation.

I criticize Obama for not having Same-Sex Marriage, but, also this is only my opinion, and many other Left-Wing Liberals are fine with Civil Union, with full benefits.  I am pushing Same-Sex Marriage because I live in a Country where it is already legal, and we already have Hate Crime Legislation.  This type of Legislation Obama plans on adding to the Civil Rights in America, and for this I am thankful.

I wish Obama would remove the Troops from Afghanistan, and not just Iraq.  I am an unashamed Left-Winger, and I am a Proud Member of the most Socially Progressive Party in Canada.  As a Member of the New Democrats, a party that wants our own Troops out of the Afghanistan Region I wish with all my heart Obama would get out too.   The Afghan people did not do anything to America, and this was is as senseless as the Iraq one.  It is all part of the so-called “War On Terrorism,” and should be stopped.  I also would like the Patriot Act Revoked, and Extraordinary Rendition Ended!

Ron Paul: Anti-Gay, Anti-People of Color, Anti-Woman, and Republican/Libertarian.

Here is a bunch of information you may not know about a Man I once thought was a good guy, his name is Ron Paul, and he ran in the 08 Election.  Than I started to listen carefully to what he was saying, and he is very misguided in a lot of his ideas.  Even if you believe humans are fundementally good,this is dangerous thinking, and would give nutcases the ability to get away with anything.  It would mean Republicans, like the nutcase in Oklahoma, whom want to ban Gays, and force them into camps could get away with it.  Most states would ban fundemental rights under Right Wing local Governments, and not resist to do something horrible to minorities rights.  Hell, it is the Fed that usually makes the States have better laws towards Minorities.  Why should I be banned from a State? That is outright descrimination, and homophobic bigotry.

Conservatives continue to allow credit card gouging

It is time to stand up for families trying to make ends meet

OTTAWA –Canadian consumers are still not being protected by their government from the predatory practices of credit card companies, said NDP Critic for Consumer Protection Glenn Thibeault.

Despite the fact that Bank of Canada has decreased its trend-setting rate, credit card providers and other financial institutions continue to increase their interest rates and add on superfluous fees. VISA alone saw a 35% increase in their profits last year alone.

“Why is it that credit card companies continue to raise interest rates, when the bank of Canada’s rate continues to decrease?” asked Thibeault Thursday in Question Period. “It’s because they know no one is going to stop them and its hard-hit Canadian families who are paying the price.”

Canadian Tire, one of Canada’s largest retailers, is the latest company jumping on the “rip-off consumers” band-wagon. In addition to tightening up key conditions in their borrowing agreement, the company recently announced that they would be raising the annual interest on late payments of its five million credit card holders to 19.5%.

“Does this Conservative government seriously think a consumer awareness program will help solve the skyrocketing family debt that Canadian families are facing?” said Thibeault. “The Conservative government’s plan won’t do anything more than inform Canadian consumers just how much they are being ripped off.”

Since 2004 the personal debt load of Canadian families has increased 40% reaching their highest levels ever. By increasing rates, credit card companies are simply profiting off families struggling to ends meet.

“Canadian families shouldn’t bear the brunt of these tough economic times,” said Thibeault.

Canada’s youth take a hit in job loss numbers

OTTAWA– The current economic crisis is taking a higher toll on Young Canadians. “It is shocking to see how badly this economic downturn is affecting young Canadians,” said NDP Youth Critic Niki Ashton.

28,000 Canadians aged 15 to 24 lost their jobs in January pushing their unemployment rate up to 12.7%. In the past 3 months alone the youth unemployment rate has increased by 2.9% or roughly 75,000 jobs.

“That doesn’t take into account the thousands of young people not even in the job market,” said Ashton. “Young people frequently slip through the cracks and generally go unreported.”

Ashton points to the Budget saying that there is no clear strategy for longer term youth employment

Nissan to slash 20,000 jobs, forecasts $3.6B annual loss

(Shuji Kajiyama/Associated Press)Nissan sank into a loss for the fiscal third quarter and forecast its first full-year loss in nearly a decade on Monday, forcing Japan’s third-biggest automaker to slash 20,000 jobs, or 8.5 per cent of its global work force.

“The global auto industry is in turmoil, and Nissan is no exception,” chief executive Carlos Ghosn told reporters in Tokyo.

Nissan Motor Co. now expects a 265 billion yen ($3.6 billion) net loss for the fiscal year through March — the first time in nine years it’s tumbling into an annual loss.

The automaker reported a net loss of 83.2 billion yen for the October-December period, a reversal from the 132.2 billion yen profit it earned the same period the previous year. That was its first quarterly net loss since it began reporting quarterly earnings in 2003.

As one key step in response to the dismal results, Ghosn said Nissan’s global workforce will be reduced by 20,000 through March 2010, to 215,000 from 235,000. The company has not specified which plants will be affected.

Directors on the board will forgo bonus pay for the year ending March. Their salaries, as well as the salaries of corporate officers, will be reduced by 10 per cent, while managers’ salaries will be reduced by five per cent, the company said.

Nissan sold 731,000 vehicles worldwide in the quarter ending Dec. 31, down 18.6 per cent from the same period a year earlier.

Other Japanese carmakers also hit

Like other Japanese automakers, Nissan has been battered by the global slump and the U.S. credit crunch, which has undermined sales in its vital North American market. A strong yen also ate into profits by eroding overseas earnings when converted back to yen.

On Friday, Toyota predicted it was heading for its first annual loss since 1950. The world’s largest automaker also reported a fiscal third quarter loss of 164.7 billion yen ($2.2 billion), down sharply from the 458.6 billion yen profit it had the same period the previous year. Smaller automakers Mitsubishi Motors Corp. and Mazda Motor Corp. have already projected losses for the fiscal year.

But Honda Motor Co., Japan’s second-biggest automaker, expects to stay in the black for the year through March at 80 billion yen profit, though that’s down 87 per cent from the record 600 billion yen the previous year.

This sort of thing is happening all over the place, and it is starting to be a nasty trend. Tons of people, both here, and abroad are losing jobs at a rapid rate due to the Economic Crises.  Of course, some people could see this coming long ago, and did nothing to prevent it. As usual, Capitalism, and the Corporations was more important than preventing an issue in the future.  I mean, Corporations always could get away with anything under the Republicans watch in the States, and Governments in other areas of the world are also blind to Corporate Crime, and issues of Economic concern.  They may say they are concerned, but, a lot of them are indeed not that too concerned. Look at Harper, here in Canada his Budget is neglecting those who most need help, and instead protecting Corporations, and the Elite power base that Harper stands on.  He, like the Neo-Cons, and Neo-Liberals in the States are constantly letting Corporate Crime go, and is Pro-War with the right people.  People like me, True Liberals, and others who agree with us on the lack of need for these wars, and Corporate Welfare are not represented by the people in power.

We need new leadership in Canada, and abroad. In Canada, the Social Democrats need more of a seat at the table, since they are anti-war with Afghanistan.  The States need to realize Obama is not their Golden Boy, he is a Center-Right Neo-Liberal when it comes to matters of Foriegn Policy, and his Hawks in his Administration that somehow got in there will make people realize his change is more of the same.  I am speaking of course to his War Cabinet side,  and I have not even begun to talk about his “Seperate, but, Equal” stance to the GBLT Community.   In my opinion, as nice a man as Obama seems to be, he is not a Liberal, he is a Center-Right Moderate, and although he is not as Right Wing as Bush was, or as Right Wing as Harper continues to be he is not Left, nor Center-Left in anyway.
